College students take part in the performance of Flood Tide by the River Thames

Two BA(Hons) Performance Sound students, Johnny Coyle and Mathew Norwood, took part in the installation, recording and sound reinforcing of Dr John Eacott’s Flood Tide performance by the river Thames outside the Festival Hall on Sunday 07th July 2010. This performance follows Dr John Eacott's "Hour Angle", a sonification of the solstice, performed by Music Technology students at Rose Bruford College last year, outside the Rose Theatre. This time, Flood Tide consists in converting an entire incoming tide, lasting six hours into live music performed by an ensemble of 49 orchestral musicians, voices, Japanese Taiko drums and jazz soloists.
