Philistines - Mayor's Charity Performance
Philistines - Mayor's Charity Performance

Rose Bruford College students invited the Mayor and Mayoress of Bexley Cllr. Bernard Clewes MBE and Mrs Edna Clewes to the first night of their performance of The Philistines by Maxim Gorky in a version by Andrew Upton on Thursday 5th November.
The students who are currently in their final year of a three year BA (Hons) Acting course performed in The Rose Theatre at Rose Bruford College.
The show which was directed by Darren Lawrence gave the students a great opportunity to show off their talents in their first public performance.
The College will be making a donation, along with the contents of several collection buckets being heartily rattled by students, to the Mayor’s Charity, which for this year is Demelza House Children’s Hospice.
After the show the Mayor went backstage to meet the students and had fun posing for  photographs with the members of the cast.  He praised the students for a most enjoyable evening, congratulated them on their success with the show and wished them all well in their chosen careers.
