On Saturday the College played host to a series of workshops for the Rob Knox film festival, supporting the work of aspiring film-makers in Bexley. Participants were able to get involved with lighting for camera; in script development and promotion; acting, direction and mime workshops. Perhaps the highlight of the day was a workshop with actors Peter Dean and Kerry-Ann White, both very experienced actors, with credits including ‘Eastenders’ and Theatre Royal Stratford on their CV’s. A theatre company called ‘The Fiasco Division’ who are emerging artists from the College, also ran workshops at the Howbury Centre in Slade Green, where they have been running a long-term intergenerational project with local residents. And a key player in the organisation of the festival has been college graduate Valentina Ruffoni. The Festival, which has been showing film across Bexley, comes to its finale on Wednesday night at Cineworld Bexleyheath with the presentation of this year’s awards.
