The Nightingale Lights up London
Rose Bruford College, starting a new partnership with London’s Unicorn Theatre, proudly presented its third year Acting students in a production of The Love of a Nightingale by Timberlake Wertenbaker, at the Unicorn Theatre, last week, as part of its Winter/Spring season. Directed by Peter Bramley, this erotic and provocative tale of an Army General and his obsession with his wife’s sister was dramatically brought to life by Rose Bruford’s third year Acting students supported by third year design and technical students.
Michael Earley, Principal and Chief Executive of Rose Bruford College said that “The Love of a Nightingale, not seen in London for many years, is a wonderfully challenging contemporary play by one of Britain’s best dramatists. It challenged all our students in the right way. It is wonderful to begin our new season at the Unicorn Theatre with this production.”
Rose Bruford College’s new association with the Unicorn Theatre provides the College with a dynamic home for its London productions as well as a unique collaboration on a new MA Theatre for Young Audiences, the first of its kind in the UK.
