The clod ensemble’s Under Glass has won the Total Theatre Award for Physical/Visual Theatre at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2009. The lighting design for the production is by Hansjörg Schmidt, Programme Director Lighting Design. Hansjörg has lit three shows at this year’s Fringe, all produced by Fuel: Under Glass; Must, a collaboration by Peggy Shaw and the clod ensemble (Total Theatre Special Commendation); and Sound&Fury’s Kursk (Honourable Mention, Knight of Illumination Awards 2009).Total Theatre is a national development agency for contemporary theatre based in the UK. The Total Theatre Awards are supported by a prestigious collection of cultural organisations and universities, with the award judging panel consisting of respected professionals representing different parts of the creative industry including artists, venues, producers, festival directors and critics.
