Theatre for Young Audiences

This Centre has been established recently in the first instance to develop and monitor research related elements of the unique Masters Programme of Theatre for Young Audiences (See page 54),which will be offered in association with The Unicorn Theatre from September 2010. The College has a long history of involvement in Young People’s Theatre with extensive documentation and publications housed in the Centre. Tony Graham, Artistic Director of The Unicorn Theatre, is an Honorary Fellow of the College. In 2011–12, an International Advisory Board of TYA specialists is forming to identify research and long-term projects.
 
Further information on the Research Centres, projects and personnel can be found on the College’s research website Theatre Futures (www.theatrefutures.org.uk) which gives details also of the special collections and includes two online publications: Performance Prompt and The Sidcup Papers. The scholarly journal New Theatre Quarterly, co-founded and co-edited by Professor Simon Trussler, Senior Research Fellow, is published by Cambridge University Press in association with the College; and in 2011 the College will launch The Stanislavski Journal in collaboration with the State Academy of Theatre Arts, St Petersburg, Russia.
