Activities for Schools & FE Colleges & Art Organisations

As part of our ongoing commitment to widening participation, we will be rolling out 30 formal progression agreements between 2015 & 2018 with secondary schools, FE Colleges, and art organisations who meet our commitment to the Office for Fair Access. In doing so we hope to take a more targeted approach in raising awareness and aspirations among under represented young people in higher education.

With a growing number of partners, our ad-hoc outreach activity is limited, but the Student Recruitment Manager is happy to offer tours of the College on alternative dates to Open Days for groups of 10 or more.   If you are a secondary school, FE College or art organisation we can offer a subject talk, masterclass or taster day for a small fee, but this is dependent on availability.

We work with primary schools during our Theatre for Young Audience season in March each year, during this time devised work by second year Actor and Actor Musicians is toured to local schools – more information is available via the Outreach Officer.

Annually we also run the following activities for all young people*:

Free School Matinees
Junior Ready Steady Light – Lighting Design Competition
Create it! Perform it! Own it! Summer School at Stratford Circus
Graduate Show – Group Visits welcome

*Age Restrictions may apply

We always welcome enquiries so please get in touch for more information about our Outreach and Widening Participation Activity – Outreach Officer via access@bruford.ac.uk
