Summary

Heather Nimmo is an acting tutor, actor, director and educator. A graduate of E15 Acting, Foundation Course and Drama Centre London, BA Hons Acting. Upon graduation she went on to work in a variety of mediums, Stage (National Theatre of Scotland, Aberdeen Performing Arts, The Soho, The Arcola) Film, (Uncanny Films, Wolfheart Productions) Television (Koko/BBC) and New-Writing as part of ‘The Company Project’, researching, developing and producing original work with writers such as Morgan Lloyd-Malcolm, Elinor Cook and Aisling Bea. She specialises in teaching Uta Hagen Technique, having studied and taught her practice for over 8 years. In 2021/2022 she went on to study with HB Studio’s in New York on the Uta Hagen Teacher’s Lab and Actor’s Programme with Carol Rosenfeld and Mark Nelson. She became an associate of the school upon completion of study. She also teaches, Stanislavski and Mike Alfred’s work, scene work, actor’s process and professional practice and preparation. She is dedicated to the safeguarding of students during training, teaching resilience techniques in both training and industry. She was awarded her Level Two Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace in November 2022 and is currently studying for her PGCLTHE: Theatre and Performing Arts at Rose Bruford College alongside her teaching.
