Course content

This week long Summer School is for students who are thinking of applying to drama school. This unique course gives you a chance to work with experienced tutors from Rose Bruford College and offers workshops on a range of disciplines from; voice, movement, ensemble, singing and acting and audition practice.

The focus of the week will be on helping you get the best from your drama school audition. We will look at the choice of speeches as well as audition technique. You will also get a chance to practice a mock audition and get feedback.

“We have practiced a lot of breathing work, Alexander technique and posture correction. This is all in the hope of releasing tension from the voice and the body. This has helped me to notice and change my own habits that arise in stressful situations, e.g. an audition. We have worked with many teachers and visiting practitioners who are all working professionals and experts in their fields. It has been an honour to learn from their wealth of knowledge and experience. I now feel more disciplined and prepared for taking the next step.”
