Diary of a Scoundrel – Too Clever by Half

by Rodney Ackland

Directed by Stephen Harper
Performed by final year BA (Hons) Acting and BA (Hons) Actor Musicianship students

Moscow 1860 – or is it 2018?  A national event entrances the country, and smart young men are on the make.  If you’re broke but clever, unscrupulous and handsome, roubles are there for the taking.  Gloumov is one of these young men: he knows how to charm, seduce and trick his way to the top.  He will support any cause, woo anyone, and switch sides faster than you can say Vladimir Putin.   Stephen Harper and Annie Fitzmaurice follow the success of their previous Autumn season productions of The Government Inspector and The Mandate with this uproarious comic satire complete with spectacular visual set pieces and live music.

Please note this performance is recommended for those aged 16 years and over.
