Come along to Rose Bruford College, as part of the Bexley Buzz Book Festival, to hear from three of the College’s staff about their recent books on various aspects of theatre and performance.

Jeremy Harrison will be talking about his recent work, Actor Musicianship. This explores a permanent feature of the musical theatre landscape that has received little attention in print. Jeremy’s work provides a practical guide for students, educators, performers and practitioners. Jeremy was one of the country’s leading actor-musicians before going on to run Rose Bruford College’s ground-breaking Actor Musicianship programme for many years.

Thomas Wilson’s work, Juggling Trajectories maps out the nature and work of a pioneering and innovative company, ‘Gandini Juggling’, that has for over two decades been one of the world’s most prolific and adventurous circus companies. A performance-maker and educator, Thomas has a long association with dance and circus disciplines.

David Zoob’s book, Brecht: A Practical Handbook is a bold and exciting new approach to Bertolt Brecht, the celebrated German theatre practitioner, playwright and poet. The book makes Brecht’s theories and ideas about theatre accessible to a new generation of actors, directors, students and theatre-makers and shows how these can be put into practice. David Zoob is Programme Director of the BA (Hons) Acting degree at Rose Bruford College. He has worked in theatre since the mid-1980s as a performer, deviser, director and teacher.
