Fefu & Her Friends by María Irene Fornés

Director Rebecca Pollock

Sound Designer Rhiannon Lawrence

Cuban born playwright and director, María Irene Fornés is one of America’s greatest avant-garde theatrical iconoclasts.

Fefu & Her Friends is a “magical-feminist” examination of the lives and conflicts of a group of female friends. Originally set in the 1930s, our version contemporises time and place to explore the relevance of Fornés’ questioning of what it means to be, “woman.”
