About

London Season is created and performed by final-year BA Acting and BA Actor-Musicianship students. This year, the season heads to Greenwich Theatre. Presenting our graduating students in the heart of the capital is an exciting milestone, offering audiences the chance to experience bold, original work from the next generation of performers in a major London venue.

Spring Awakening by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater

Spring Awakening, by Duncan Sheik (music) and Steven Sater (book/lyrics), is a Tony Award-winning rock musical based on Frank Wedekind’s controversial 1891 play, blending a contemporary alt-rock score with a period setting to explore adolescent angst, sexuality, and societal repression through teenage characters discovering love, rebellion, and devastating consequences in a censorious world. It’s known for its powerful music, poignant storytelling, and handling of mature themes like abuse, abortion, and suicide, making it a landmark musical that fuses past and present in a timeless coming-of-age story.

This is an amateur production by arrangement with Music Theatre International Ltd.
