The Artist Remembers is an act of collective remembrance, a call from those who make, speak, and refuse to stay silent. Devised by final year students at Rose Bruford College, under the direction of Nastazja Domaradzka, the piece looks at how artists stand up to power, how they endure censorship and occupation, and how art itself becomes a form of resistance.
Through movement, image, and voice, the ensemble bears witness to history’s repeating cycles and asks: what is the artist’s role when truth is compromised? The Artist Remembers honours those who create, even when creation is an act of courage.
