English Language Requirements

Rose Bruford College holds a ‘Highly Trusted Sponsor’ license issued by the UK Home Office. This license permits us to recruit students from outside of the EU/EEA who require a visa to study in the UK.

The Home Office defines the following countries to be majority native-English speaking and as such, nationals of these countries are not required to demonstrate their English language proficiency.

Undergraduate Programme Requirements
For admission onto Rose Bruford College’s undergraduate programmes, applicants are required to have an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in each component.  We prefer certification from IELTS, but other tests may be accepted. For information about your local English language test centre you should contact the British Council in your own country.

Postgraduate Programme Requirements
For admission onto Rose Bruford College’s postgraduate programmes, applicants are required to have an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in each component. We prefer certification from IELTS, but other tests are also may be accepted. For information about your local English language test centre you should contact the British Council in your own country.
