Rose Bruford College is thrilled to announce that one of its alumni, Roy Williams, will be returning to the College to talk about his work as part of the Bexley Buzz Book Festival.

Roy is a Bafta and Evening Standard award-winning playwright who grew up in Notting Hill. Having been involved as a youngster in a theatre group Roy later undertook a degree in theatre writing at Rose Bruford College. His plays explore the politics of the everyday: racism, poverty, teen pregnancy, stupid violence – from Sing Yer Heart for the Lads (2002) to Fallout (2003), and the boxing drama Sucker Punch (2010). His recent work includes The Firm, and  Soul, that plots the last days of the Motown singer Marvin Gaye.
