EastEnders legend, and former Rose Bruford College student, Pam St. Clement returned to Sidcup on Tuesday 14 June for the second annual Sidcup Words and Music event at Holy Trinity Church, Lamorbey.
During an interview with Rose Bruford College Principal, Professor Michael Earley, the star, who played the iconic Pat Butcher for 25 years, discussed her childhood, memories of studying in Sidcup at the world renowned drama school, and subsequent career on stage and screen.
Speaking after the event, Professor Earley was delighted that the College, which is celebrating its 65th year, was able to work in partnership with the church to help attract such a celebrated former student back to Sidcup;
"Pam St. Clement is a British TV legend. We are so grateful to have such a luminous graduate of Rose Bruford College come back to Sidcup and talk to us about her life and career. For a second year our annual Sidcup Words and Music delighted audiences with a winning speaker."
The interview was followed by questions from the audience, of over 120, and a book signing of her best-selling autobiography ‘The End of An Earring’.
Fr Philip Wells, Vicar of Holy Trinity Church, Lamorbey, was thrilled that the event attracted so many local residents and visitors from across Kent;
