2005 BA (Hons) American Theatre Arts  graduate Gloria Williams has won the Best Female Actor in a Play Award for her performance in her own play Bullet Hole at the inaugural Black British Theatre Awards.

The awards, held on the 27 October 2019 at Old Finsbury Town Hall, have been established to raise the profile of the role that black Britons have made to not only the country’s artisitc legacy but the impact that their contribution has made on an international level.

Bullet Hole is a powerful play exploring the effect of FGM on three women from Sierra Leone who are living in London. It received excellent reviews during its run at Park Theatre in 2018.
