At the end of November, our MA Light in Performance students had the pleasure to work with visual designer Willie Williams at Lewisham College campus on a 70mm film project.

Willie Williams is famous for his use of projected and video imagery for his design work – particularly with the band U2 but also for artists such as George Michael, David Bowie, and Lady Gaga. This particular project was based on Willie’s work with the band REM, using 70mm film projectors to create a series of highly striking and unusual stage pictures for the band’s Monster tour. Willie is an Honorary Fellow of Rose Bruford College. He is one of four outstanding designers the students on the MA Light in Performance are working with across the academic year.
