It was a successful night at the Royal Opera House for Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance alumni at the 2015 Olivier Awards.

The first success of the night came for 2011 graduates Dave Hearn (BA (Hons) Acting) and Rob Falconer (BA (Hons) Actor Musicianship) who won Best Comedy for The Play That Goes Wrong, which is currently enjoying an extended run at the Duchess Theatre.

A delighted Rob Falconer tweeted afterwards “We just won Best New Comedy incredible. Cannot believe that!"

2001 BA (Hons) Actor Musicianship graduate Rosalie Craig was next to celebrate, as City of Angels won the award for Best Musical Revival.

The evening culminated with 2003 BA (Hons) Actor Musician graduate Katie Brayben (pictured below) winning the award for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Carole King in the critically acclaimed Beautiful which is running at the Aldwych Theatre.

Katie tweeted afterwards “Oh my goodness, I’m gobsmacked, elated.”
