Brigitte Lambert joined Rose Bruford College in 1993 having previously worked as a designer, prop maker and scenic artist in professional theatre.
As a designer she worked at Theatre Royal Stratford East, the Lyric Theatre in Belfast and as Head of Design for three years at the New Victoria Theatre Stoke-on-Trent with Peter Cheeseman.
As a scenic artist and prop maker she worked as freelance for the major London scenic arts studios.
Her basic training was gained through attending the English National Design School (now known as Motley) studying under Percy Harris and Hayden Griffin.
Since coming to Rose Bruford College, she has gained an MA in Theatre Practice, designed for the Wilton Music Hall, and the Spiral Theatre Company in Northern Spain. She has led projects in collaboration with Cabaret Mechanical taking students to perform in Prague and Granada. Collaborating with Emergency Exit Arts, students have been involved in London based performances reflecting Brigitte’s interest in techniques associated with Carnival and Street Art.
