Bio

Matthieu Bellon-Leloup was born in Paris, France. He holds a BA in History from the Univeriste de Paris I Sorbonne, and has studied Fine Arts in Florence and Venice in Italy. He started his training in theatre with Zaddhredin Zahed, then in Exeter where he trained in classic British theatre at Cygnet Training Theatre Company (Patron Peter Brook), studied movement with Prapto Sudoarno and Judith Holzer in Solo and Bali, Indonesia; before training in Paris with Jacques Lecoq at his International School of Theatre. From 2002 to 2009 he was a core member of the award-winning Polish company Song Of The Goat. Since 2007 he has been a senior lecturer at Rose Bruford College where he has taught on degree programmes in Directing and Acting/Actor-Musicianship, as well as on the European Theatre Arts degree programme. He is co-founder and Artistic Director of Bred In The Bone Theatre where he develops his own research in actor training, and works as a director and actor.
