Rachel Nicholson is a graduate of the Rose Bruford Lighting Design course, later returning to the College to complete her MA in Theatre Practice (Distinction) where her research focussed on Digital Scenography. Following a period of time working as a freelance lighting designer and technician, Rachel was invited to return to the College as a visiting tutor, before accepting a permanent position in 2006. Rachel has led the Creative Lighting Control Course since it began in 2007 (under the original title of Digital Live Arts: Lighting Programming) and has twice been awarded the Rose Bruford Teaching Fellowship. Her current research areas explore the creative practices of the Technologist.
