One of the great benefits of being a college of our size is that you have access to staff who really know their students. All students have a personal tutor with whom you can discuss any academic matters.
Aside from academic support, you may need support or advice with issues that are not directly related to your academic or professional development. Staff in Student Services are always on hand to talk to if you are struggling with anything non-academic. For example you could have financial worries, have problems with housemates, have feelings of homesickness, not be coping with the pressures of the course, or feel that your mental health is suffering. If appropriate you may request or be offered an appointment with a professional counsellor. The College has been working with a number of external counsellors for many years, and over this time they have developed an excellent understanding of the students who study here and their profile.
In addition to this we also have a sexual health nurse, who visits the college regularly and offers confidential sexual health advice, can administer the contraceptive injection and contraceptive pill and, is available for follow-up appointments.
