Heather Nimmo is an Acting Tutor and Course Coordinator specialising in actor training, Uta Hagen technique, classical and contemporary text, active analysis, actor wellbeing and reflective practice. She trained at E15 on the Foundation Acting Course before graduating from the BA (Hons) Acting at Drama Centre London in 2008, where she received the Lilian Baylis Award for ‘most promising second year student’.
Heather has developed her Uta Hagen practice through specialist training with HB Studio in New York, including work with Carol Rosenfeld and Mark Nelson. Her teaching connects rigorous practical training with curiosity, imagination, reflection and the development of an individual artistic voice. She is particularly interested in making classical texts accessible and playable for contemporary actors through practical approaches.
A passionate advocate for actor care and wellbeing, she teaches resilience and reflective practice at LAMDA. Heather rejoined Rose Bruford in September 2025 as Foundation Acting Course Coordinator, having previously been Course Leader for the BA Acting Course until December 2024. She is a Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA).
