Congratulations to James Simpson and Enrique Munoz Jimenez who were amongst the 2021 PLASA winners.
Cue29, Copper Stream and Bone Stream were all chosen for an Innovation Award at #plasashow2021.

The Awards, run association with LSi Magazine, are respected industry-wide for celebrating pioneering technology through new materials or methods that increase safety, efficiency or performance.

29 products were entered this year, with six awards being presented in addition to two special commendations. This year’s judging team is comprised of nine independent technical specialists from a wide array of backgrounds.

James Simpson and Enrique Munoz Jimenez were amongst the winners with Copper Candle: Bonestream, Copper Stream and Cue29. The Judges have chosen to award a suite of products from this boundary-pushing software developer. They felt the group of products shared the same innovative approach to merging gaming technologies into a framework engineered for the live events industry. The judges believe these products are at the forefront of the move towards virtual production in events.

James Simpson:
“We are thrilled at Copper Candle to have won this really prestigious award for three of our products; it will have such a huge impact for us as a small company just starting out. Having the ratification and support of our industry peers has reinforced our belief in our vision of a future of virtual theatre and live events. This will have a huge benefit to the students and future research projects at Rose Bruford College who were collaborators on the Innovate UK project that funded our developments and will see virtual theatre students at the cutting edge of game engines and virtual events.”
