We encourage students to consider exchanges with other European Institutions as part of their course.

Rose Bruford College has been an active participant in the EU funded Erasmus scheme for more than a decade, and we now send nearly 10% of our students on study mobility and professional placements every year. Our staff also take part in teaching and training mobility assignments all over Europe.

1st January 2014 saw the introduction of the new Erasmus + programme that provides support for education and acquiring new skills. The European Commission calculated that 5 million people will finish college or get additional education abroad through one of these programmes.

The Erasmus + programme is open to everyone, both individuals and private and public institutions that are active in the field of education, specialization, youth or sport. Erasmus + funds both formal and informal learning and activities within all of these sectors.

Erasmus + supported activities include:

  • individual learning within EU and outside EU, which includes: studying and specialization, apprenticeship, teaching and professional development.
  • Institutional cooperation between educational institutions, youth organizations, entrepreneurs, local and regional authorities and NGOs to support development and implementation of innovative practices in education, specialization, informal youth activities, while also promoting employment, creativity and entrepreneurship.
