Sarah Barnes is a Costumier and Lecturer who has had the experience of studying on the Costume Production course. Since graduating in 2014, Sarah has had a wide range of roles within the TV, theatre and music industries. Starting as a dresser on Westend shows, working her way up to Wardrobe Assistant, Deputy and Head of department, she decided to take a step back from working on shows to focus on her passion for sewing by going freelance.
Sarah has been fortunate to sew on a variety of Westend shows, such as Beautiful the Carole King Musical, Motown the Musical, Frozen the Musical, Dear Evan Hansen, Luzia (Cirque Du Soleil) Life of Pi, Singin In the Rain, The Snowman and many more. A highlight of her career was making and altering costumes for the Spice World 2019 UK Tour. During COVID, Sarah set up her own business, designing unique novelty fabrics and making a range of homewares and accessories. Sarah continues to work in the Costume industry and run her business alongside her work at Rose Bruford.
