Ray Fearon collecting Best Supporting Actor
Ray Fearon, alumnus and President of Rose Bruford College, was named Best Supporting Actor at the National Film Awards UK for his performance in My Fault: London. Released in February 2025, the film premiered at number 1 worldwide on Amazon Prime for movies. Two sequels, Your Fault: London and Our Fault: London, have already been announced.
The National Film Awards UK, founded in 2015 by the National Film Academy, is dedicated to recognising outstanding achievements across the UK’s dynamic film industry. Nominees and winners are selected exclusively by public vote, ensuring authenticity.
Rose Bruford College alumni featured prominently among this year’s nominated productions. Fearon also appeared in Cleaner, which received three nominations. Gary Oldman earned a Best Actor nomination for Slow Horses, while Mr Bates vs The Post Office – co-produced by alumna and Fellow Sara Huxley – garnered five nominations, including one for Honorary Fellow Toby Jones. Other Best TV Drama Series nominees featuring alumni included Code of Silence (Beth Goddard), Mobland (Toby Jones), Baby Reindeer (Jessica Gunning), and Adolescence (Hannah Walters).
Additionally, Bailey Patrick starred in Marching Powder, nominated for both Best British Film and Best Comedy, while KAMA, featuring Matt Wakeford, was nominated for Best Independent Film.
