A close up of Gary Oldman with long, slicked-back hair and a grey beard, wearing large glasses and a heavy dark scarf, set against a moody teal backdrop. His expression is serious and contemplative, and the dim, shadowy lighting adds a gritty, noir-like atmosphere to the portrait.

From compelling performances to powerful productions, the work of our graduates continues to make a significant impact across the industry – both on screen and behind the scenes.

Baby Reindeer leads the pack with eight nominations, including Supporting Actress for Rose Bruford College graduate and Fellow, Jessica Gunning. Nominated for her role as Martha, Jessica has previously been honoured with an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award for her performance.

A group of ten people stand shoulder to shoulder, holding a large red banner that reads “SUPPORT OUR SUB-POSTMASTERS” in bold white letters. Behind them, a blue sign on the building calls for justice with messages like “A FULL STATUTORY INQUIRY” and “FULL RECOMPENSE FOR THE VICTIMS,” emphasizing a campaign for accountability and support for sub-postmasters affected by injustice.

Mr Bates vs The Post Office follows with six nominations. The powerful drama, which dominated headlines and captured the public’s attention, was co-produced by Sara Huxley, a Fellow of Rose Bruford College and 2013 graduate of the BA (Hons) Acting programme. Toby Jones, Honorary Fellow of the College, is also nominated for Leading Actor for his role in the series.

Acclaimed actor Gary Oldman, who graduated from the Acting programme in 1972 and made a Fellow in 2022, is nominated for Leading Actor for his portrayal of Jackson Lamb in the gripping spy thriller Slow Horses.

Two men sit together in a warmly lit, vintage-style living room. One wears a tan pinstripe suit with a fedora and patterned tie, while the other sports a retro zip-up sweater with vertical stripes and burnt orange corduroy pants. Behind them is a wooden cabinet filled with china and collectibles, next to floral curtains and a potted plant, evoking a cozy, nostalgic vibe.

Mr Loverman, based on the novel by Bernardine Evaristo – a 1982 graduate of Community Theatre Arts, made a Fellow in 2018 and President of Rose Bruford College from 2021 to 2024 – received multiple nominations: Leading Actress (Sharon D. Clarke), Leading Actor (Lennie James), and Supporting Actor (Ariyon Bakare).
