About Angel VR
Angel VR is an immersive VR dance experience in which users interact with a digital angel character across 8 scenes. Originally developed as a collaboration between Rose Bruford College and AVA Dance Company, the project has since received multiple awards and recognition for its innovative use of immersive technology.
Supported by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), the latest phase of the project is focused on expanding Angel VR into a truly accessible VR experience. The project addresses the needs of users with visual impairments, D/deaf users, wheelchair users, and those with physical disabilities that affect motor skills, all of whom have limited access to VR due to the inaccessibility of the form.
Access
British Sign Language interpreters and audio description will be part of the event. All symposium spaces are wheelchair accessible.
Navigational guidance can be provided for those who request it well in advance.
Refreshments
Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided.
