Dr Vanio Papadelli is an interdisciplinary theatre and movement artist, performer, educator and researcher. She specialises in movement, Eastern European theatre, dance-theatre, postmodern dance, Contact Improvisation, embodied writing, interdisciplinary and autobiographical performance, and practice-as-research. Her work is grounded in long-term investigation into psychophysical attunement, touch, impulse, interdisciplinarity in the arts, and the relationship between text and movement, embodied experience and creative practice.

At Rose Bruford, she currently works as a Module Year Coordinator (BA European Theatre Arts, BA International Acting Practices). Her distinctive contribution lies in connecting rigorous embodied training with interdisciplinary performance making, critical enquiry and reflective research. Vanio has performed in theatres and alternative sites and has presented her own work internationally across the UK, Greece, Poland, Lebanon, Egypt and Italy, collaborating with acclaimed companies and artists including Song of the Goat Theatre, Theatre Lab, Angela Woodhouse, Xristina Penna and Nesreen Nabil Hussein.

She also has extensive experience as a community arts facilitator making movement, drama, and mixed arts accessible to the wider public (Sadlers Wells East, Creating Ground, Poplar Union, Exit Map, Zoukak Theatre, WacArts).
