Iman Bahmanabadi studied Film & Philosophy at the University of Southampton, and later trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in Actor Training and Coaching.
Prior to this role, Iman was the Head of MA Screen Acting at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He has also taught at a number of institutions including Goldsmiths, RCSSD, East 15, and Fourth Monkey. With a focus on screen acting, Iman’s teaching practice is rooted in operating from a place of play with inspiration from Viola Spolin, and the Nine Viewpoints. As Module Year Co-ordinator, Iman also teaches the history of film as well as text analysis, story structure and devising.
Iman has also directed numerous short films which have been shown at international art exhibitions and film festivals.
