Student Wellbeing Advisor

Are you passionate about supporting student wellbeing and mental health? Do you thrive in a collaborative, creative environment where no two days are the same?
Rose Bruford College is seeking a compassionate, organised and proactive Student Wellbeing Advisor to join our dynamic Student Life team. In this role, you’ll work directly with students experiencing emotional distress, mental health challenges, or wellbeing concerns – providing confidential support, triage, risk management and referrals to ensure timely and effective care.
You’ll play a key role in promoting early intervention and resilience-building, while collaborating with academic teams, the Students’ Union, external partners and internal services to create an inclusive, supportive environment for all our students.
What You’ll Do:
- Offer individual, student-centred wellbeing support through triage, casework and referrals.
- Manage the counselling triage system and conduct initial wellbeing assessments.
- Work closely with the counselling team, disability team, safeguarding leads and academics to manage complex student cases.
- Coordinate student engagement with internal and external support services, including GPs, mental health professionals and pastoral staff.
- Contribute to awareness campaigns, induction activities and proactive wellbeing initiatives.
- Maintain clear and confidential records and prepare data for internal reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting individuals in a wellbeing, mental health or pastoral care setting.
- Excellent communication, empathy and case management skills.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and mental health best practice.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Are you passionate about creating inclusive environments where disabled students can thrive? Do you want to make a tangible difference in a creative and collaborative higher education setting?
Rose Bruford College is looking for a committed and knowledgeable Disability Support Officer to join our Student Life team. You will play a vital role in supporting students with disabilities, long-term health conditions and specific learning differences (SpLDs) – helping remove barriers to learning and ensuring they receive the adjustments and support they need to succeed.
You will work closely with students, academic teams, external agencies and professional services to develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), implement reasonable adjustments, and guide students through the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) process. You’ll also contribute to the College’s Access and Participation Plan by developing projects and activities that promote inclusion and belonging for disabled and neurodivergent students.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide confidential, student-focused support and guidance to disabled students and applicants.
- Manage a caseload of students with a range of physical, sensory, mental health, and neurodivergent needs.
- Coordinate and review Individual Learning Plans and Reasonable Adjustment Agreements.
- Support students in navigating the DSA process and interpreting Needs Assessment Reports.
- Advise academic and support staff on inclusive teaching, curriculum and assessment practices.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to data reporting, audits and service evaluation.
- Liaise with external providers, assessors and student finance bodies.
- Collaborate on inclusive initiatives and induction events across the College.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting students with disabilities in an education, advice or support setting.
- Understanding of the Equality Act 2010, DSA processes and inclusive education principles.
- Excellent communication skills and a sensitive, student-centred approach.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied caseload.
- Familiarity with assistive technology and inclusive learning tools is desirable.
- Experience working in creative arts education or a small specialist institution is a plus.
