About

Rose Bruford College’s New Writing Season is a vibrant annual showcase celebrating bold, original work created and performed by final year students from our BA Acting and BA Actor Musicianship programmes.

Across four days, audiences are invited to experience an exciting programme of new writing that reflects the distinctive voices of emerging artists at the start of their professional journeys. From intimate, character-driven pieces to innovative and interdisciplinary performances, the season offers a dynamic mix of storytelling that pushes creative boundaries and explores contemporary themes.

Developed through a collaborative process, each piece highlights the creativity, craft and individuality of Rose Bruford’s graduating performers, many of whom contribute not only as actors but also as writers, devisers and musicians. The result is a rich and diverse programme that captures the energy and ambition of the next generation of theatre-makers.

New Writing Season is a key moment in the College calendar, providing a platform for students to share their work with industry professionals, peers and the public, and offering audiences a unique opportunity to discover fresh talent and new perspectives in performance
