Rose Bruford College was thrilled to welcome back two of its most successful alumni, Hayley Squires and David Carlyle, for a live Q&A session with students during the College’s annual Symposium week, during which students run a festival across the College.

The event kickstarted the week’s activities, providing students with a unique opportunity to learn from two actors who have made a significant impact in the industry.

Hayley Squires, a critically acclaimed actor known for her roles in I, Daniel Blake and Adult Material, and David Carlyle, a talented actor who has appeared in the breakout hit It’s A Sin and the stage production of The Tell-Tale Heart, shared their experiences and advice with current students during the Q&A session moderated by Industry Relationship Manager, Lewis Bayley.

Hayley’s 2017 BIFA win for Most Promising Newcomer, and David’s role in It’s A Sin, which also earned him a BAFTA nomination, were just two of the many achievements celebrated during the event. The actors also spoke about their time at Rose Bruford College and how it helped shape their careers.
