Research at Rose Bruford

At the College, a research culture has emerged that reflects the institution’s specialised nature and mission. Staff research interests include acting and performance, design, management and technical theatre. The research is both contemporary and historical and multicultural and international, with the potential for intercultural performance in both discipline-specific and interdisciplinary contexts. Growing, too, is the College’s ongoing exploration of new theatre technologies and methodologies.

“Our research community is small in numbers, but ambitious in its agenda, and internationally impactful across theatre, acting, design, new technologies and social change. Our research is conducted with integrity, care and an eye to the communities we serve and to which we are accountable. ”
Brian Lobel, Professor of Theatre and Performance
