Mike has spent his career in the media industry. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Telstra Broadcast Services (TBS), responsible for the customer journey and success, from solution design to delivery and operational support. He leads a global team providing content and channel preparation, aggregation and distribution for some of the world’s most prominent media and sports brands.
Before his role at TBS, Mike was CTO at Outernet, where he led technology strategy and architecture, building and operations of Outernet, which contains some of the world’s largest LED screens. He and his award-winning team were responsible for the technology and operational activities that bring unique, creative, interactive and immersive experiences from brands and artists to the public.
Before Outernet, Mike held a series of senior international technology and operational roles at Fox Networks Group (Asia Pacific), SIS, Technicolor, OSN and the BBC.
Mike holds BA (Hons) and MBA degrees, is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, and is a member of the IBC Council.
