Ben Ratcliffe has worked in Performance and the Creative Arts for over 30 years as Designer, Director, Educator and Workshop Leader.  His career began in local arts festivals in London then progressed to designing and managing events, festivals and site-specific projects.

He has toured as technical manager and Designed in cathedrals, trains, bars and the Royal Festival Hall.

His design work has taken him to Heritage sites in Madrid and Amsterdam while his workshopping work has sent him to Norway, Finland, Czech Republic, France and Germany.

He is a founder of two theatre companies and a unique Europe-wide creative workshop programme.

His work on installations has led him to work in Cabaret and Burlesque with Tricity Vogue and Mis Behave.

His exploration of Visual Perceptual Psychology the creative process and the relationship between the live performer and the audience informs his work as Subject Leader of Lighting Design at Rose Bruford College.
