Dr Marina Hadjilouca

Summary

Dr Marina Hadjilouca is a lecturer in Performance Design at Rose Bruford College. She is a practising performance designer, working extensively in Europe and the UK. Marina is also the co-artistic director of Schedia, a design studio in Cyprus, who, through a transdisciplinary practice, engage with local communities and develop strategies for the use of public spaces.

Professional Practice

As a practitioner, Marina creates scenographic interventions in contested public spaces, and design sets and costumes for the theatre. Visual dramaturgy is a dominant element within Marina’s practice. She works on all scales, grand and small, and has collaborated with major theatre organisations in the UK, Cyprus and Greece, including Arcola’s Grimeborn Festival, the National Theatre of Cyprus ​and the International Festival of Ancient Greek Drama.
