Awards
The nominations for the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards have been announced, once again highlighting the impact of Rose Bruford College graduates on the television industry. Alumna Hannah Walters and Stephen Graham, who studied at Rose Bruford College, received recognition for Adolescence, a hit Netflix series, while Sir Gary Oldman is nominated for his role in Slow Horses, which is also up for multiple major awards. Oldman was recently knighted for his outstanding contribution to drama.
Ray Fearon, alumnus and President of Rose Bruford College, was named Best Supporting Actor at the National Film Awards UK for his performance in My Fault: London. Rose Bruford College alumni featured across multiple nominations at the National Film Awards UK. Ray Fearon appeared in Cleaner, which received three nominations, and Gary Oldman is up for Best Actor for Slow Horses. Mr Bates vs The Post Office, co-produced by alumna Sara Huxley, earned five nominations, including one for Honorary Fellow Toby Jones. Other nominated productions featuring alumni include Code of Silence (Beth Goddard), Mobland (Toby Jones), Baby Reindeer (Jessica Gunning), and Adolescence (Hannah Walters). Bailey Patrick starred in Marching Powder, nominated for Best British Film and Best Comedy, while KAMA, featuring Matt Wakeford, was nominated for Best Independent Film.
