The Programme at a glance

We are delighted to be able to offer this new online course, which is based on our hugely successful and established in-person Acting Part-time course. Having adapted the mode of teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic, and successfully delivered online learning, we are now offering an exclusively online programme, in order to enable learners who are further afield or with other commitments a chance to explore their interest in Acting.

This online course offers a one-year introduction to the skills associated with TV and film acting.  It is tailored to those who want to learn about the craft of TV and film acting,  and learn how to develop their own physical, vocal and imaginative skills, and to explore the dramatic text in performance.

The course runs over three terms, each term lasting 12-13 weeks.

You will be taught online by college tutors for one 2.5 hour session each week, plus extra rehearsals as required (usually on a Saturday), technical and dress rehearsals and performances as the work demands, totalling approximately 120 hours of contact time. You will act in Acting Part-time Online productions at the end of each term and are expected to watch all other Acting Part-time Online productions.

Teaching is expected to be on Wednesday evenings 7-9:30 pm.

Numbers are limited to 12 per group and for 2021 entry we will only be recruiting one cohort of students.  Therefore we would encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
