Juniors
(4-6.5 & 6.5-8 year olds)
An introduction to drama in a fun and friendly atmosphere, this class is an opportunity for children to explore the creative arts through play.
Activities include; theatre games, storytelling, role-play, improvisation and using music as a stimulus. As well as developing basic performance skills, these activities can also help to develop confidence levels, increase social awareness and build teamwork skills.
Each term the children will explore imaginative and creative responses to a given theme, which will culminate in an opportunity for them to share this work with family and friends.
Please note: students should wear loose, comfortable clothing that is suitable for movement work and sitting on the floor. Leggings/jogging bottoms, T-shirts and plimsoles or trainers are ideal.

Inters
(9-12 year olds)
A fun and challenging drama class, that is open to everyone whether you are an aspiring performer or just want to have fun. The Inters are encouraged to bring their own ideas and creativity to the work and the curriculum is dependent on the students present in the class.
A range of drama techniques and theatrical forms are explored including improvisation, devising, script work, voice and movement.
Termly specialist workshops and week-long theatre schools during the holidays also provide a unique opportunity for young people to explore different aspects of the theatre. These workshops can include: Acting/Performance/Dance/Movement, Directing, Filming and Editing, Script Writing, Set Design, Costume Design and Prop Making.
There will be opportunities throughout the year to take part in informal ‘sharings’ for friends and family and to perform in the College’s Rose theatre.

Seniors
(13-17 year olds)
Work and perform with like-minded people of your own age who share a passion for theatre and performance. Everyone is welcome and you do not need any previous experience to take part.
Students develop their performance skills through the exploration of a variety of performance techniques. These can include improvisation, devising, naturalism, character work, voice, movement and working with text.
Termly specialist workshops and week-long theatre schools during the holidays also provide a unique opportunity for young people to explore different aspects of the theatre. Bruford Youth Theatre is split into the following workshops and age ranges:
- Juniors (4-6 & 6-8 year olds) - £65 per term
