About
The Festival of Independent Creative Practice brings urgent, engaging and innovative performances from our final year BA (Hons) Theatre and Social Change. This performance showcase of five, brand new works over two days poses critical questions for the world today with humour, with compassion, with action, and with the most innovative of insights.
Idle Idols by Arthur Morris and Wyn Teasdale
What happens on a deity’s day off? Rained in, locked down and bored out of their minds. Flick and Cyra have a problem – they need a distraction, and what better way to pass the time than a series of quick-paced comedy sketches and vignettes? What will happen when carefully laid plans go awry, and old arguments resurface? Can these two gods find a way to wait out the storm without killing one another- or worse, breaking up?
Filled with the wacky, weird, and wondrous, Idle Idols is the journey of two divine gay disasters learning to find common ground despite their questionable ways of coping.
