About
New Work Season comprises original plays, a song cycle, and an intermedial piece written, directed, and performed by 3rd Year students from our undergraduate Acting and Actor Musicianship programmes.
Under the guidance of BAFTA Award-Winning Writer Janys Chambers and Olivier Award-Winning Composer Darren Clark, the year group have been introduced to the creative energies and disciplines of playwriting and dramatic songwriting, leading to a selection of short plays and a playlist of original songs.
SONG CYCLE – MARY SHELLEY: A ROMANTIC FICTION
A gothic confession turned fever dream tracing Mary Shelley’s tumultuous obsession with love, loss and creation. Where is the line between genius and delirium?
A song cycle written by Richard Hough, with songs composed and performed by final year Actor-Musicians.

Access to our theatres
All of our theatres are accessible for mobility scooters and wheelchairs and have designated spaces. Please note that in the Rose, you will be seated in the round.
If you require use of our mobility and wheelchair seating areas, including to reserve seats if you wish to be seated with family or friends, please get in touch when you make your booking.
Parking
There is plenty of free parking on site with no restrictions. There is some obsolete signage which you may disregard.
