The Hairy Ape is the story of Yank, proud to be the strongest stoker on a transatlantic ocean liner. But when humiliated by a privileged heiress, Yank is forced to confront primal questions about his true place in the world. Eugene O’Neill’s expressionist masterpiece is a musical odyssey through the nightmarish landscape of 1920s New York.
