Manuela’s son Esteban dies in a shocking accident, and she must find his lost father and cleanse herself of grief and guilt. Her search takes her to Barcelona and into the extraordinary lives of three remarkable women: one is the Humana Rojo, the actress her son worshipped, the second an old transsexual friend, and the third is Rosa, an unlikely young nun with an angelic heart. This beautiful and redemptive story is told through Estaban’s cinematic vision, making it a deeply felt hymn of praise to the strength of women and to the power of cinema itself.
