Rose Bruford College was proudly represented at the Royal Television Society’s (RTS) Programme Awards 2025, with alumni among this year’s celebrated winners.

The RTS Programme Awards span all the genres of television programming, from soaps to history, children’s fiction to comedy performance. They recognise exceptional actors, presenters, writers and production teams as well as the programmes themselves.

The BBC’s musical drama This Town – written by acclaimed screenwriter Steven Knight – was awarded the newly combined category of Limited Series and Single Drama. The series stars Ben Rose, who graduated from Actor Musicianship BA (Hons) in 2017.

The award reads “Jessica Gunning” and is for Supporting Actor - Female, part of the RTS Programme Awards 2025, recognizing her role in Baby Reindeer

Jessica Gunning, a graduate of Acting BA (Hons), took home the Supporting Actor – Female award for their powerful performance in Baby Reindeer. This win adds to a growing list of accolades for the role, which already includes both an Emmy and a Golden Globe.

Kenton Allen, Chair of the RTS Programme Awards, said:

“Year after year we are astounded by the level of talent within the UK television industry – across the scripted and unscripted categories, this year’s programming exemplifies the ongoing success of British content in the UK and beyond. As we come together to celebrate the most memorable moments from across the year on-screen, we congratulate all of the nominees and winners for their incredible achievements in creating the fantastic television we’re lucky enough to share in.”
