For the fifth consecutive year our London Season of three productions will be presented at Stratford Circus Arts Centre.
The plays below showcase the performance talent of our final year BA (Hons) Acting and BA (Hons) Actor Musicianship students and the technical, artistic and management technical talents of final students from our School of Design, Management and Technical Arts.

Dogville is a crime drama set in a remote village in the Colorado mountains. Gunshots ring out in the valley as a woman arrives, apparently fleeing a group of gangsters. The villagers are persuaded to offer her sanctuary, but at a price; as the threat from both criminals and the police intensifies, the price rises. Adapted from the celebrated crime drama by controversial screenwriter Lars von Trier, this is a chilling fable that considers the human capacity for moral compromise, corruption, cruelty and vengeance.

An exhilarating and uproarious farce by award-winning playwright Richard Bean (One Man, Two Guvnors.)
April 1642. Sir John Hotham loves his power, his money, his maid and the fact that his head hasn’t been removed from his shoulders by an axe. He is Governor of Hull, and he should be on the side of Parliament. He is supposed to keep King Charles out of the city, but what if Charles wins? With rebellion stirring in his city and a siege outside its walls, Hotham must keep both sides happy and his other assets intact. The play was a hit for the RSC/Hull Truck last year, celebrating Hull as City of Culture, 2017.

Assassins presents a dizzying carousel of the men and women, would-be assassins of eight Presidents of the United States, both ‘hits’ and ‘misses’. From John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald, notorious presidential assassins will tell their stories. But why did they do it?
Stephen Sondheim’s 1990 musical asks profound questions about state power and individual agency and turns the ‘American Dream’ on its head. It is full of irony and dark humour, unfolding the hopes, ideals and murderous motives of its infamous, sometimes idiotic, anti-heroes.
The show is performed by third year students on our unique BA (Hons) Actor Musicianship programme, and showcases their skills in the dynamic integration of live music with dramatic action.
