Visas and Immigration
If you’re an international student, you’ll need to ensure that you have checked any relevant Visa requirements. The process and conditions for attaining a student visa are subject to frequent changes. Please check the UK Government website for the most up to date and accurate information and use the information presented here as a guide.
Here’s how we can help:
- Visa Support: Visit our International Student Page for information on the requirements to study in the UK. Refer to our Student Visa FAQ for detailed guidance on how to apply for a student visa. This should provide you with all the information you need, but if you have any questions or would like to discuss the process, our Admissions team is on hand to help.
- Pre-Departure Checklist: We will send you a checklist that will help you to gather all necessary documents, such as passport, visa, and health insurance.
Next Step: Begin your visa application as soon as you receive your CAS letter.
If you require a student visa to study in the UK, you must provide evidence of your English language ability as part of the visa process. If your first language is not English, you must demonstrate your English ability. This is an essential part of your visa application.
IELTS for UKVI and the IELTS Academic for UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) are the UKVI-approved versions of the secure English Language Test (SELT). This test must be taken in an approved test centre, and you must state that you need an Academic for UKVI-approved visa test when you book. For undergraduate courses, you must achieve a minimum score of IELTS 5.5 overall, with at least 5.5 in each component, or a Secure English Language Test (SELT) equivalent to this score.
